Let's see.....what word comes to mind for this joint??..........OHMAGOSH!!!!! (Yes, that's one word, in my vocabulary, anyway!)
We have lived in this town for 43 years now, and have never been to Sport Burger I know, apparently, a cardinal sin!
They close at 6:00 pm on Friday's, so we decided at 5:30 to try and make it from the NW part of the City. Passing every cop in Wichita, we finally arrived at 6:50 (whew)
I ordered a single bacon cheeseburger with "extra" grilled onions and the hubby ordered a double cheeseburger with the same! A Soda and some onion rings, and we were gold!! Yes, there is a wait, but C'mon folks....every single item is made from scratch and to order! WELLLL worth the wait...."no time", you say???? Then go to McDonalds (who, by the way also has wait time!)
Where in the world have I been, not going to this place at least once a week? I did everything to look past my husband, sitting at the steering wheel, so I could watch her put on the fresh pile of onions, toasted buns and fresh hamburger patties!!! As she pleasantly handed the white bags of goodness to my husband, I couldn't contain my curiosity and dug into the onion rings. They were still screaming hot..... and what didn't burn my tongue, was a delicious morsel of perfectly battered onion!
Since it's drive through only, we promptly drove across the street and parked to eat our weight in this sinful yumminess!
Bottom line....Service with a smile and even a blessing!! The woman who cooked and gave us our food was as friendly and pleasant as anyone I've ever met at a fast food place, let alone a 5 star restaurant! The food......well.....absolutely above any and all expectations! Neither one of us could finish....so, late night snack, it is!
If you don't mind the wait, and we didn't.....by all means you MUST make it out to Sport Burger!! Don't blink, or you'll pass right by it! -

Yummy, greasy, guilty pleasure. Enough said.
If you're just looking for a tasty, unfancy basic burger, this is it. They only have daytime hours and the lunch line is long if you don't get there before 12:30. -

Wow! This little burger spot is Fantastic!! Every time we stop the quality is great, and so fresh and tasty. Awesome people with a Quality Product. I have found the line to be shortest just after 11am, but fear not if you're 4 cars back at 12pm you'll still get there!!

The food was ok. Not worth the 45 min wait in the drive through. For some reason they close the lobby so you have no choice but to wait in the drive through and waste gas which isn't cheap nowadays. The prices are good so I'll come back when they decide to be like a real restaurant and open the door to their lobby. But until then I'm not coming back.

Wow! All I can say is WOW! Heard so many pleasant things about this place and finally decided to try it. Small little hole in the wall that sits on the corner. Doesn't look like much but food definitely packs a punch! The wait was definitely worth it and the price was fair for the amount of fries you get plus a drink ! Will definitely be going back VERY soon. Cash only. So bring your wallet and appetite
